We’re thrilled to announce the release of Liana v12! Let’s dive into the most important changes in this version.
A More Powerful GUI: Multiple Tabs and Split Panes in the same window!
Managing complex wallet setups just got much easier. Liana’s user interface now supports multiple tabs and split panes in the same window. This major enhancement is designed for power users who need to view different sections of a wallet simultaneously or manage multiple wallets in the same instance. This flexibility allows for a much more organized and efficient workflow.
BitBox02 Nova Integration
We are also excited to announce that Liana now supports the BitBox02 Nova hardware wallet. This device can be used for both Segwit and Taproot spending policies, expanding the range of excellent security options available to our users.
Electrum self-signed SSL certificate connection
Liana now supports self-signed SSL certificates for connecting to your Electrum server. This means that you can let Liana skip the validation of the SSL domain, particularly useful for the connection to local Electrum server-based node options.
Full deletion of Liana Connect Wallets
For users of our Liana Connect service, we’ve introduced a requested feature: the ability to delete a wallet directly from the Liana Connect platform. This gives you more control over your wallet’s data stored on our infrastructure, ensuring your privacy and data management are entirely in your hands.
The process is simple and secure, requiring you to confirm the action directly in the Liana application.
Other Notable Changes
This release also includes many other improvements and fixes. Here are some of the most noteworthy:
- Timelock Slider Improvement: We significantly improved the way in which the user is able to select the duration of the timelock for each recovery path.
- GUI Renderer Fallback: We’ve added a
tiny-skia
backend to improve stability and ensure Liana runs smoothly across more systems. - Streamlined Restore: The UI for adding an existing wallet now prioritizes using a backup file, making the process faster.
- Poller Fix: A bug was fixed in the wallet poller to ensure it updates the correct keychain, improving state management accuracy.
- Liana Connect Upload: You can now upload a descriptor file when adding an existing wallet using Liana Connect as a backend.
